We tailor our loading and unloading systems to meet your individual requirements - taking capacity and number of freeze-dryers, as well as all other production conditions into consideration. Optima Pharma's solutions range from manual to automatic robot loading and unloading systems. This ensures maximum process reliability, saving you time and effectively increasing your productivity.

Universal loading and unloading: the row-by-row system

Functionality 
The objects are loaded and unloaded row by row. A certain number of objects is fed into the infeed and assembled to rows, depending on the shelf width and dimensions of the objects, and then pushed into the freeze-dryer. During the unloading process, each row is separated again and transferred to the downstream machines. The row-by-row system is universally suited for most applications.

For special applications: frame loading

Functionality
Frame loading may be applicable for small batch sizes, or specific primary packaging materials, or as a potential retrofit to your existing system. The objects are divided into separate loads and placed into frames. After the LYO process is completed the frames are unloaded, removed, and the vials are fed into the downstream machines.

Viral vectors

Viral vectors are often used for gene transfer, e.g., in cell and gene therapy. These biologics are structurally highly complex. Specific formulations and pilot freeze-dryers are used to develop customized freeze-drying cycles that are especially robust and efficient. As a result, you no longer have to rely on deep-freeze storage and can transport and store products at room temperature.
