Where the future goes to learn

The modern training center in Schwäbisch Hall

On its approximately 1,000 square meters, the Optima training center offers more than 140 apprentices optimal learning conditions as well as plenty of space for creative learning and practical work. The workplaces for the various professions are fitted with modern equipment. Theory is not neglected either: a laboratory and practice room as well as two training rooms enable optimal knowledge transfer. Five full-time Optima instructors impart theoretical and practical knowledge on modern processing machines and special training systems.

Theory and practice combined smartly Dual study at Optima

You will soon have your general or subject-specific university entrance qualification in your pocket. And you want to make a real difference and get ahead right from the start. Theoretical basics are important to you, but the practical application should not be missing. Then a dual study program at Optima is the right path for you. Theory and practice alternate in a twelve-week cycle. You will complete a full bachelor's degree and at the same time be fully integrated into the company. As a Bachelor's graduate of the Cooperative University, you are on an equal footing with graduates of universities and universities of applied sciences. Two at one stroke Cooperative studies at OPTIMA

Obtain an apprenticeship and a degree at the same time? That's also possible at Optima. In the cooperative study program, you combine a sound apprenticeship with a suitable study program, during which you continue to receive compensation. The training seamlessly transitions into the study program. After just five years, you'll have two degrees in your pocket and excellent prospects for the future.

Mechatronics, automation technology and electrical mechanical engineering

Cleverly combined

At Optima, the cooperative study program combines a two-year apprenticeship as a mechatronics technician with the subsequent bachelor's degree program in automation technology and electrical mechanical engineering. Your training takes place at Optima, and you complete your studies (7 semesters) at the Künzelsau campus of Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences.

By dovetailing the two stages of education, the dual qualification can be achieved in just five years. You will also remain with the company during your studies and receive compensation for the entire period.

School internship at OPTIMA

Would you like to experience an exciting school internship? With us, you can choose from a variety of apprenticeships. High school students have the opportunity to gain an insight into the study programs offered by the Cooperative University.

You have the opportunity to complete your one-week school internship in the following occupations:

  • Cutting machine operator
  • Industrial mechanic
  • Electronics technician for automation technology
  • Mechatronics engineer
  • Technical product designer – specializing in machine and plant design
  • IT Specialist (m/f/d) – specialization system integration
  • Warehouse logistics specialist

High school students can gain insight into the study programs of the Dual University for one week:

  • Electrical engineering (specialization in automation)
  • Mechanical engineering (specialization in design)
