After over six decades, the Optima Group has relocated its headquarters from Stadtheide to Solpark in Schwäbisch Hall and celebrated this move with an inauguration ceremony for all the new "residents" at the beginning of June. Chairman Hans Bühler recalled the various stages of Optima, starting at the Schwäbisch Hall train station. In recent years, the goal has been to consolidate the central services in Solpark, which has been achieved with the purchase of the former "Solarfabrik." CEO Stefan König is pleased that the collaboration among colleagues will now be facilitated.
After 64 years, the Optima Group has moved its headquarters to Alfred-Leikam-Straße in Schwäbisch Hall. This move was celebrated with an inauguration ceremony for all the new "residents."
In his speech, chairman Hans Bühler looked back on Optima's milestones. The original headquarters was at the train station. The buildings are still there today. In 1959/1960, there was the first move to Stadtheide, the city's first major industrial area. Due to growth, there were constant expansions and additional rentals in the following decades.
The first headquarters of Optima was located at the Schwäbisch Hall train station.
Since the 1960s, the building in Steinbeisweg has been the headquarters of the Optima Group. This is still where many employees of the company work.
In the early 2000s, expansion was directed towards Solpark, a former US military base that was turned into an industrial zone. Due to the acquisition of several companies and the increasing growth, buildings for the Pharma and Consumer business units were constructed here.
For several years, the company management has been aiming to consolidate the central services, such as Marketing, Controlling, and HR, in Solpark, where most employees now work. This has been achieved with the purchase of the former "solar factory". Not only do the central services have space here, but also the new training center, which is still being set up, and a large assembly area.
CEO Stefan König is pleased that the majority of central services are now located in one place and colleagues can intensify their collaboration more easily.
At the main site in Schwäbisch Hall, over 2,100 employees are working for Optima. The company's strong order backlog and continued positive outlook prompted the decision to purchase the previously leased area in Solpark, which spans over 17,000 square meters of production and office space (roughly the size of 2.5 soccer fields).
