Optima offers child care during the holidays

Together with the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns and the service provider Konzept-e für Bildung und Betreuung GmbH, Optima offered a children's holiday care program. From August 03 to 07, 28 children of Optima employees aged five to ten experienced a time full of fun and games. A hygiene concept was specially developed for this purpose.

The closure of daycare centers and schools during the lockdown put a strain on families and had a major impact on everyday working life. "It was all the more important for us to relieve the burden on our employees again this year and to support them in looking after their children during the vacation period," says Optima HR Manager Sebastian Henke. In addition to complying with legal requirements, it was particularly important for the service provider Konzept-e für Bildung und Betreuung GmbH and Optima to provide care that was varied, age-appropriate and, above all, safe. In close exchange with the authorities, a hygiene concept was developed that made the implementation possible.

Workshops and games in fixed groups

An exciting week awaited the children with many exciting workshops and games in fixed groups. For example, a talent show in which the children could present their strengths was on the agenda. There were also various handicraft activities and often outdoor movement games that were adapted to specific ages. As in previous years, Optima covered the costs for catering and a large part of the childcare costs. Support was also provided by the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns. In addition to providing the premises in the Optima Sportpark, employees of the club also took care of the organization and were always available to answer questions. Last year, the children were already allowed to visit the Unicorns during a trial training session as part of the vacation care program and join in. "We would like to thank the Unicorns very much for their professional and friendly support," said Henke.
