Job Summary

The Shipping Assistant provides support to the Shipping & Receiving Manager


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepares shipments by packaging parts and creating shipping notices
  • Confirms incoming shipments (including some UPS shipments)to their packing lists
  • Accurately monitors all parts movement and participates in the annual physical count of inventory
  • Communicates with other departments regarding shipments
  • Follows instructions and duties as requested by supervisor

Job Summary

The Sales Engineer position acts as a sales representative of the After Sales Service using technical, organizational and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs, resulting in revenue generation.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Establishes and fosters/maintains customer contacts, researches customer needs and develops application of products and services.
  • Prepares quotations for possible service packs.
  • Identifies opportunities at the customer site and finds a suitable solution by communicating with internal departments to satisfy the customer need.
  • During the Design/Engineering Phase of a new machine, the opportunity manager looks at required training needs on the machine, maintenance or audit services/contracts needed and communicates with engineering on potential spare parts required and communicates that information with the spare parts team.

  • Required - Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a related technical field and 5 years of field experience
  • Required - Technical knowledge of packaging machines and consumer product industry.

Job Summary

Perform engineering duties in planning, designing and manufacturing of packaging equipment. Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.

Create upgrades for existing equipment per customer request or requirements.

Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.

Submit a scope of work for each project that includes timeline, budgetary numbers and the goal of each project.

Develop CAD project models, drawings, and bills of materials.

This position may require up to 15-20% travel


Qualifications and Skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years’ experience in an engineering role
  • Strong knowledge of 3D Modeling/CAD software and drafting
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.

We are seeking qualified and highly motivated automation controls technician to join our team. We are searching for aggressive candidates who desire a challenging career filled with creativity and innovation. This position encompasses all aspects of industrial packaging machine controls systems and services.
The Automation Controls Technician supports one of the Optima Divisions in an enhanced service role pertinent to the operations of that division.

Responsibilities and Duties
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of an Automation Controls Technician for Optima Machinery Corporation:
All aspects of control system installation, from control panel assembly, field wiring, machine installations, machine troubleshooting, and general electrical services.
Installing non-woven packaging machines and making the process adjustments both mechanically and electrically for efficient operation.

Servicing existing machines at customer’s facilities. Implementing upgrades and improving running efficiency.
Interface with clients as well as subcontractors and solve issues and problems to the satisfaction of the company and client.

Up to 75% travel expected

Qualifications and Skills

A successful candidate for the Automation Controls Technician for Optima Machinery Corporation will possess:
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
  • Decision making ability
  • Ability to deal with experienced, multidisciplinary, technical specialists
  • Ability to coordinate small to large projects independently
  • Ability to download PLC, HMI, and drive programs. Ability to work with controls engineers to identify and improve machine programs.
  • Significant electrical aptitude and knowledge of acceptable practices, techniques, and codes. Comfortable reading and following IEC electrical diagrams.
  • Thorough working knowledge of industrial controls devices including photo-electric sensors, proximity switches, solenoid valves, frequency and servo drives, and PLC I/O.
  • Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC (Control Logix and Compact Logix) and HMI experience a plus.

Job Summary

Optima Machinery Corporation's Field Service Technician position supports one of the Optima Divisions (Pharma, Nonwovens, Consumer, Life Science) in a service role pertinent to the operations of that division. 75% Travel required


Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Performs service and maintenance of OPTIMA equipment sold in the United States
  • Travels to customer sites to install, maintain, inspect and repair OPTIMA equipment
  • Installs, maintains, repairs both mechanical and electrical systems and components on OPTIMA machinery following blueprints, electrical codes, schematics, and manuals, both at customer sites and in-house
  • Installs wiring and conduit and connects power supply to machine
  • Assists with in-house assembly and related activities
  • Follows instructions and duties as requested by supervisor
  • Valid Driver’s License is required


Qualifications and Skills

Fulfillment of the Electro-Mechanical program at a two year school required. Electrical education a plus. Training will be provided on Optima Machinery.
