Optima Welcomes New Apprentices and Students

Optima welcomed its new apprentices and students with an introductory afternoon; these young people are set to begin their careers in September at the German technology leader. Together with their parents, they took the opportunity to get to know the company better right from the start.

The afternoon was designed to do one thing above all else: provide orientation before they get started. The future young professionals received an initial overview and got to know their points of contact. Parents also had the opportunity to get a sense of the training program and the work environment during a tour of the training center and the assembly area.

Optima is firmly committed to developing its own talent: This year, the company employs a total of 167 apprentices and students at its Schwäbisch Hall location. The majority are in industrial-technical trades, which play a central role in the development and construction of highly complex filling and packaging systems. At the same time, Optima is constantly expanding its training offerings and increasingly providing degree programs in future-oriented fields such as artificial intelligence and industrialization.

“The demands placed on our machines are very high. That’s why it’s crucial for us to train highly qualified employees,” says Volker Freisinger, Head of Manufacturing. Accordingly, Optima invests in this area and offers programs early on – such as the introductory afternoon – that help employees get off to a successful start in their careers.
