Reliable supplier partnerships are crucial for Optima in order to deliver machines to customers on time and in the highest quality. To strengthen this cooperation, Optima invited 35 local suppliers to the Supplier Day on November 26, 2025. Cooperation with regional suppliers ensures Optima short distances, direct coordination, and a stable supply chain. "Our suppliers are indispensable partners. They expand our manufacturing capabilities and bring innovative strength to our processes," emphasizes Heiko Funk, Managing Director of Optima Materials Management. In view of geopolitical developments, fluctuating commodity markets, and rising tariffs, this regional approach is becoming increasingly important.
Suppliers as part of the value chain
Suppliers contribute to product quality and a smooth process through precise components and punctual deliveries. The local proximity supports flexible production planning and fast response times, which are crucial for the on-time delivery of machines to customers.
Optima relies on long-term, reliable relationships and open communication. Early coordination helps to reduce complaints and continuously improve processes. "For us, partnership means cooperation on an eye-to-eye level, respect, and trust," says Funk.
During the tour of the production facility, it became clear how closely the delivered parts are linked to the subsequent work steps and what influence they have on the quality of the machines. With the Supplier Day, Optima is implementing a measure that further strengthens the supplier partnership and contributes to the stability of value creation.
