Rising raw material costs, increasing competitive pressure, and an increasingly unpredictable future present major challenges for manufacturers of hygiene products. What is needed are solu-tions that intelligently combine flexibility, quality, and efficiency. Under the motto “Shaping your future with our pioneering flexibility,” Optima Nonwovens will demonstrate at the leading INDEX trade fair in Geneva how modern packaging and service concepts meet precisely these re-quirements.
The focus is on the OPTIMA HSC high-performance cartoning machine, which sets new stand-ards in terms of speed and flexibility thanks to its modular design, fast format changes, and max-imum scalability. The OPTIMA HSC can be flexibly integrated with pouch packaging machines. In this combination, it is possible to use a wide variety of packaging materials on a single line: cardboard, paper, biodegradable, and PE bags.
In addition, Optima will be presenting practical upgrades and retrofit solutions live at the trade show that future-proof existing systems: outdated components are replaced, CE conformity is restored, and machine availability is sustainably increased—at significantly lower costs than a new purchase.
Another highlight is an OLED panel integrated into the machine guard. It showcases intelligent features such as counting products during the process (Count Completeness Check), a code inspection camera for process improvement, and laser printing of product information onto packaging for seamless traceability. These features ensure maximum production reliability, transparent processes, and the highest quality standards.
The trade show presentation is rounded out by innovative solutions for increasing efficiency: The cloud-based AI-Assist uses artificial intelligence to make machine knowledge quickly and easily accessible, providing support for troubleshooting, analysis, and spare part identification. In addi-tion, e-paper tags demonstrate how format changes can be simplified, accelerated, and sources of error significantly reduced.
INDEX will take place from May 19 to 22 at Palexpo Geneva. Optima’s booth is located in Hall 2, Booth 2581.
