In an increasingly challenging environment, the focus is once again shifting toward supply chain performance. With the Supplier Award 2026, the Optima Packaging Group honors selected suppliers who make a decisive contribution to supply chain stability through reliability, flexibility, and a spirit of partnership.
What was once considered an operational issue is now a strategic competitive advantage. Rising energy and administrative costs, growing regulatory requirements, tariffs, and shorter delivery times shape the day-to-day reality of procurement. In this situation, companies secure their success above all by managing risks, responding flexibly, and relying on partners who think proactively. In addition, certifications, regulatory requirements, and sustainability aspects are becoming increasingly important. “These are no longer just extras, but prerequisites for surviving in a competitive market, especially in the pharmaceutical industry,” explains Heiko Funk, Managing Director of Optima Materials Management. “Supply chains must be certified and structured in a responsible and fair manner. Sustainability ratings such as Ecovadis are often considered the minimum standard.”
The 2026 Supplier Award highlights what truly matters: resilient partnerships, open communication, and a shared commitment to remaining capable of action and continuously improving, even in an unstable environment.
