Armed with shovels, gloves, and plenty of motivation, twenty employees from the Optima Group made a strong statement about sustainability and regional commitment on November 4th. As part of Optima's first tree planting campaign, they planted 1,000 young trees – 500 Douglas firs and 500 chestnut trees – in the Rosengarten forest district in around five hours. This will bind around 451 tons of CO₂.

The tree seedlings were donated by Optima to the community of Rosengarten and planted in collaboration with the Schwäbisch Hall Forestry Office. The aim of the campaign is to make an active contribution to the preservation and stabilization of regional forests.

Douglas fir and chestnut were specifically selected because they cope better with changing climat-ic conditions than many native species. In the future, they will be significantly more important for stable and resilient forests in our region, which is an important step for the long-term preservation of our forest landscapes.
