In June, Optima invited over 40 of its future trainees and students, along with their parents, to an introductory afternoon – marking the official kickoff for the training programs starting in September. The event is part of a comprehensive package that includes a starter bonus, five hours of weekly study time, and other initiatives aimed at filling an increasing number of training positions and taking the company’s training program to the next level.

Last Friday, future trainees and students had the opportunity to take a first look behind the scenes at Optima, together with their parents. During the traditional introductory afternoon, the training team guided them through assembly areas and the new training center, answered questions about the upcoming start in September, and provided hands-on insights into the future working environment.

“Encounters like these build trust – both for the young talents and their families,” emphasizes Katja Schrafft, Head of Human Resources at the Optima Group. “At the same time, we demonstrate that training at Optima means more than just technical knowledge: we focus on appreciation, personal interaction, and real opportunities for growth.”

For the 2025 training year, Optima is launching new initiatives to attract promising young talents: all new trainees and students will receive a €2,000 starter bonus, which can be used to help pay for things like a driver’s license or furnishing their first apartment. In addition, more time will be dedicated to studying: five hours per week will be reserved for learning and exam preparation, reducing on-site working hours at the company to 35 hours per week.

Optima is also well prepared for the new training year in terms of infrastructure, thanks to its new 1,600-square-meter training center, which was officially opened in May. Around one million euros were invested in modern workshops, robotics and 3D labs, as well as lounge and fitness areas – a clear commitment to the long-term development of young talent.

With its introductory afternoon, modern working hours, and modern learning environment, Optima is securing skilled workers and expertise for the years to come. By October, the company will employ over 180 trainees and students worldwide – a record number that reflects both its ongoing growth and its commitment to the next generation.

Applications for the September 2026 training start are already being accepted by the company.
