Michael Feinauer in conversation with EnglewoodLAB in Asia

The Asian cosmetics market is currently one of the industry’s key drivers of innovation. K-Beauty and C-Beauty trends are setting the pace globally, leading to short development cycles, a wide variety of products, and significantly shorter time-to-market phases. For OEM and ODM manufacturers, this means designing flexible production processes while ensuring stable, efficient operations.

In the interview, Michael Feinauer, project engineer at Optima Consumer, visits EnglewoodLAB in Korea and speaks with Youngmin Cho, who is responsible for the company’s production processes. EnglewoodLAB manufactures most of its cosmetic products for international markets and relies on an MLS production line to efficiently handle different product variants. The discussion provides practical insights into the use of the MLS system for various product formats, as well as into the advantage of adopting a modular line concept with high adaptability. In addition, Mr. Cho talks about the planned integration of a Robotic Picker System (RPS), which aims to reduce manual tasks, further increase line flexibility, and align production with changing market requirements in the long term.
