Innovative cartoning system as a world first

Sustainable materials like carton

Sustainable materials are a challenge for the packaging industry. Carton packaging, in particular, is considered a sustainable solution for paper hygiene products. A wide variety of pack sizes is  standard in the industry. Until now, it has only been possible to realize different carton packaging variants on one line to a limited extent. High speed enables the market requirements to be implemented and effective production to be ensured. The new OPTIMA HSC for paper hygiene products takes speed and format flexibility to a new level. The linear drive system for high-performance horizontal cartoning processes is a world first and, together with the large format width, sets the machine apart from previous solutions in the packaging machine market.

  • High-performance horizontal cartoner for paper hygiene products
  • Full format width with automatic changeover
  • Integration with existing OPTIMA bag packaging machines

Digital solutions for sustainable production

"Connected Worker" as a total digital service solution

Connected Worker service approach

Production workers are increasingly transforming into "Connected Workers." Optima applications support machine operators in their daily work at the machine. They are provided with digital assistance systems that support them in handling the machine. These include, for example, the "OPTIMA Format Change Assist" for step-by-step guidance during changeovers between different pack sizes. A remote connection to Optima Service and much more are part of the Optima service portfolio. The resulting process optimizations reduce waste, increase efficiency through fewer stops, and improve line availability, which has a positive effect on conserving production resources.

"We look forward to presenting our new technologies at INDEX 2023 and welcoming you in person."
