From July 31, 2017 to August 4, 2017 several children of employees between the ages of 6 to 11 years spent their summer holidays at Optima. Optima was for this purpose supported by the company pme Familienservice GmbH which is specialized in the organization of summer camps for children. Altogether 26 children were taken care of in the “Haus der Wirtschaft” – a location provided by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce – in Schwaebisch Hall from 8 am until 5 pm. The week was named “Games & Fun for small technicians and big heros“.
The children and their carers went on different excursions and enjoyed various activities. The week started with a guided tour through the premises of Optima Consumer, given by Chief Executive Officer Rainer Feuchter and Customer Service Director Michael Weber. They delivered interesting insights into the world of packaging machines. That was followed by a visit of the fire station in the east of Schwaebisch Hall, a trip to the open-air museum Wackershofen and a first aid course including a visit at the rescue coordination center. At the end of the summer camp the children were given a tour of the Würth airport.
To have some time for recovery, the kids had the opportunity to play games and do handicrafts between the activities. An unforgettable week has come to its end and both the carers and the children agreed that the summer camp should be repeated next year.
