
Electro Mechanical Field Service Technician
Job Summary
With locations and customers all over the world, Optima Machinery Corporation designs and builds packaging and filling machines including complete production lines for pharmaceutical, consumer, nonwovens and life science products. Our machines specialize in a variety of products and processes including, syringes, vials, freeze drying, toilet paper, wet wipes, chemicals, cosmetics, coffee, snack foods, transdermal patches, oral filmstrips, and more. Odds are that you have encountered many products packaged on an Optima machine.

Optima Machinery Corporation's Field Service Technician position supports one of the Optima Divisions (Pharma, Nonwovens, Consumer, Life Science) in a service role pertinent to the operations of that division.
Responsibilities and Duties

- Performs service and maintenance of OPTIMA equipment sold in the United States
- Travels to customer sites to install, maintain, inspect and repair OPTIMA equipment
- Installs, maintains, repairs both mechanical and electrical systems and components on OPTIMA machinery following blueprints, electrical codes, schematics, and manuals, both at customer sites and in-house
- Installs wiring and conduit and connects power supply to machine
- Assists with in-house assembly and related activities
- Follows instructions and duties as requested by supervisor
- Valid Driver’s License is required
Qualifications and Skills
- Fulfillment of the Electro-Mechanical program at a two year school required
- Electrical education a plus
- Training will be provided on Optima Machinery
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. The hours of work and days are typically during our “core” hours which are between the hours of 8:00am and 3:45pm Monday through Friday.
Travel
Travel is expected for this position (75-80%)
